Author Fees

This journal charges the following author fees to support journal management, system maintenance, and the Open Access publication process:

  • Article Submission: 0 IDR (Free)
    Authors are not charged any fees when submitting a manuscript to Sociohistory: Journal of Social Culture and History. We encourage all researchers to submit their work without the barrier of initial fees.
  • Article Processing Charge (APC): 150,000 IDR
    If your manuscript is accepted for publication after the peer-review process, you will be asked to pay an Article Processing Charge. This fee covers the similarity check (Turnitin), editing process, layouting, DOI (Digital Object Identifier) assignment from Crossref, and digital archive maintenance.

    *Payment is made via bank transfer to the account provided in the acceptance email (Letter of Acceptance).

Waiver Policy

If you do not have the funds to pay the publication fee (for example, due to a lack of research funding from your institution), you are entitled to request a fee waiver. We do not want fees to be a barrier to the publication of high-quality scientific work. The decision to grant a waiver rests entirely with the Editor in Chief based on an evaluation of the manuscript's quality and the reasons provided.
