Penguatan Literasi Pendidikan Tinggi Bagi Siswa Madrasah Aliyah Dan Santri Pondok Pesantren Di Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah

Adequate information about higher education plays an important role in helping students make informed decisions regarding their educational pathways after completing secondary education. Limited understanding of study programs, learning systems, scholarships, academic life, university admission procedures, and career prospects may affect students' readiness to plan their future studies. This community service activity aimed to strengthen higher education literacy among Madrasah Aliyah students and Islamic boarding school students in Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency through educational outreach, motivation, and experience-sharing activities. The program was conducted during the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year at five educational institutions: MAN 1 Hulu Sungai Tengah, Al Hikmah Tabudarat Islamic Boarding School, MAN 4 Hulu Sungai Tengah, MAN 3 Hulu Sungai Tengah, and Darul Inabah Banua Asam Islamic Boarding School. The implementation used a participatory approach through presentations, alumni experience sharing, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. The topics covered the importance of higher education, study program options, learning systems, academic and student life, scholarship opportunities, university admission procedures, and graduate career prospects. The activity showed active participation from students, reflected in various questions concerning study programs, tuition fees, scholarships, university life, and employment opportunities after graduation. The program provided students with broader information about higher education and supported their ability to plan their educational pathways after secondary school. Continuous collaboration among universities, madrasahs, and Islamic boarding schools is therefore needed to strengthen students' higher education literacy and support informed educational decision-making.
